The geometry is defined here: ( https://github.com/rdom/eicdirc/blob/master/src/PrtDetectorConstruction.cxx ), as you will see there are many options there. We always use fLensId == 6 , and at this stage I would use standard 11 bars per bar box. You need bars, lenses, prisms. Bars and prisms should be active volumes to be able to track photons. Later you need Cherenkov processes, optical processes to generate and propagate photons. Definitions of materials and efficiencies of sensors. In principle everything is in this git repository.
Grzegorz also suggested that contrary to what is currently presented by CAD, DIRC can live in much lighter and efficient (and simpler geometry) support structure:
