The gap between Ecal barrel support and solenoid is too large (and should be zero, essentially). The Ecal barrel detector placement should be placed based on the support location, not the other way around. The outer radius of the Ecal (radius of the inscribed circle of the outside faces of the staves) should be determined by the support, at 1600 mm - 3", or 1532.8 mm.
Yes, item 2 leads to overlaps between Ecal barrel support and solenoid. I have a question in to the engineers about that.
